BBC22nd Nov 2014 The first long-finned pilot whale to beach in the southern North Sea for 22 years died from starvation, post-mortem tests have found.
Only one long-finned pilot whale has been recorded stranded on the UK coast in the southern North Sea - a single individual in Norfolk in 1992 - indicating how unusual this event is. Tests showed the whale was in "very poor nutritional condition" with "no significant evidence of recent feeding''.www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-30157922

Just a pause for reflection.. The struggle in Japan has been going on for centuries, oppression and wrong beliefs have been used against the people at every opportunity bringing calamity after calamity to it's shores. Fukushima should make this disparity clear for all to see and how the West is now fully exposed as equally poisoned. ''If the minds of living beings are impure, their land is also impure, but if their minds are pure, so is their land. There are not two lands, pure or impure in themselves. The difference lies solely in the good or evil of our minds.'' (Japanese Buddhist from the Lotus Sutra School, Nichiren Daishonin.) Over the next week, lets empty out the draws and jars of small change and think of putting off a non essential purchase for now. Lets get behind Dana and each make a donation. Every penny given is pushing back at the lies for real! Do not logs thrown on a fire make the flames grow brighter?

The Asahi Shimbum.December 01, 2014British researcher blasts U.N. report on Fukushima cancer risk as unscientific.Baverstock said that when he was working for the WHO, he felt constant pressure from the International Atomic Energy Agency, a major promoter of nuclear power. He also questioned why it took more than three years for UNSCEAR to release its Fukushima report. Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) was “not qualified to be called ‘scientific’” because it lacked transparency and independent verification. He added that the committee should be disbanded. ajw.asahi.com/article/0311disaster/fukushima/AJ201412010036

Thanks, starlight. It is just mind-blowing, that they will release more contaminated water, on top of the on-going damage done. Huh! A safety level? I cannot get over just how stupid they think we really are.

Japanese Tsunami Debris Still Washing On U.S. Shoreline
Debris from Japan's 2011 tsunami will continue to litter the North American coastline over the next three years, with everything from refrigerators to lumber and sports balls still floating offshore in the Pacific, an expert said on Tuesday.
About one million tons of debris was still lingering in the Pacific Ocean four years after a magnitude 9.0 earthquake, the most powerful ever recorded in Japan, set off a series of massive tsunami waves that devastated a wide swathe of Honshu's Pacific coastline and killed nearly 20,000 people.
It also damaged the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, leading to a series of explosions and meltdowns in the world's worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl 25 years earlier.
The Oregon Sea Grant, a program at Oregon State University funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has been working with researchers at Japan's Tottori University to monitor tsunami debris.
An estimated five million tons of wreckage - everything from cars to building materials, boats and docks - washed into the Pacific, and about 70 percent sank quickly to the ocean floor, experts in the United States and Japan said.
But items with buoyancy eventually caught the Pacific Ocean's currents and have since lodged as close as 25 miles (40 km) off the North American coast, covering an area from California to Alaska, said Sam Chan, an aquatic invasive species expert at Oregon Sea Grant.
"When it comes into our Pacific shores in North America it (the debris) tends to stay offshore for months and sometimes a year," he said. It's not until we actually end up with local storm events or changes in the season that debris comes ashore."

Over the past year, warmer temperatures and a lack of major storms have kept most of the refuse from washing up on land, but wave patterns and other oceanic conditions were likely to send more items headed to West Coast beaches this summer, he said.
Last summer, 26 Japanese boats floated ashore in Oregon, Washington state and Canada's British Columbia, Chan said.
In 2012, a massive, 66-foot-(20-meter-)long dock ripped from its moorings in Japan floated up on a beach north of Newport, Oregon, southwest of Portland.
The Japanese team has sent out about 70 battery operated tracking devices that float at different heights to simulate different kinds of debris in order to understand where in the Pacific the refuse has clustered.

Despite what Jay Cullen recently announced, it appears that Fukushima radiation has indeed reached the west coast after all. But Ken dismisses the latest radiation finding as little to worry about!
"Even if the levels were twice as high, you could still swim in the ocean for six hours every day for a year and receive a dose more than a thousand times less than a single dental X-ray," Buesseler said. "While that's not zero, that's a very low risk."

Fukushima Hounds Quiz Time
One of these fun people is a simple mass murderer and one a Doctor who euthanized many of the elderly patients in his care having at times changed their last will and testament to directly benefit himself. On occasion the Doctor would, for example, in a situation where an elderly couple were happily living out their twilight years together, he would simply remove one or other of them from the situation ....just for kicks! See if you can spot the differences and also identify any of the many character traits that bind them together!

There are few words that can convey appropriate sadness as regards the wanton destruction of our planet. But I think this picture announces a new chapters dawning and the beginning of an end...and of many endings. The sentinel species for all their resourcefulness and ruggedness have now no habitat at all and have found the Radioactive forces from Fukushima ranged directly against them utterly devastating. We Humans have enjoyed many precious millennia existing along side so much wonder...
