With dana's last update saying that he is barely making it through these last few months made me think about starting a indegogo crowd fund to help him out and was wondering if that would be a good choice, if so it'd be awesome if someone could help me with that because i've never dabbed into that stuff before.. just curious if anyone knew how that works or if there was a certain thing that we could do as the fukushima hounds we are to help dana in this tough time together
If you want - look around this forum to get some art to use. Just right click and "Save As" an item you want to re-use. I think Dana already has some short fundraising vids up if you look around his You Tube channel.
Thinking out loud for a mo'... I think you have to be prepared to take it all the way without Dana's input, he has his plate full. Yes..art work and a fully matured message and possibly vid's and stuff garnered from the 'story' so far. Looking at the site it seems twitter and facebook back it up and one needs to be available for contact. A high profile in other words. This is difficult to achieve from a forum with users so spread out across the world and not always visible to this degree. I would say that we are performing a small crowd funding function already! I would encourage you to create a folder for yourself on your computer and begin to formulate your approach to launching a fund raiser there. Art work needs to be fairly sophisticated as this subject is not at all popular and people do NOT respond well to Fukushima. The good thing about the site you mention is that it is open ended and not subject to the more popular 'all or nothing' model that has proven more successful for crowd funding purposes. The sting in the tail is the market place it sits in, where a myriad of less than Global issues are touted for sponsorship and the over burden such a platform creates, i.e ''fund my education, bible mission, pop career..e.t.c'' Languishing in some crowded backwater could take up more time than we have. Nothing ventured nothing gained is the order of the day...so..lets all study the site some more and dig about to get a feel for how to approach a potential launch there. If it seems like a 'go' we can create a thread here and toss ideas in design and content about as a collective or use the messaging provision to proof read and round off possible content submissions. I would say that if enough of us determine to move on this idea, a time window of 2 weeks of frantic activity could produce the correct result that will garner some financial returns. I am available for any audio/vid or picture editing and compilation if required. Like all things..one learns by doing! Thanks to Punisher and the rest of the hounds the mission is pretty impressive already so this may encourage people to donate? pretty impressive for a first post pacman! Great stuff!

Thank you for your kind words and enthusiasm i couldn't agree with you more starlight, this project will need a group participation for doing it on ones own using windows movie maker overlaying video/audio is very difficult to work with.. we could use all the help that anyone is able to contribute and will be greatly appreciated ^_^
Im thinking about using Dana's latest videos as the basis for the indegogo introduction and ill need your help with that starlight, for some reason i cannot download the videos off of youtube to edit it to be used for the introduction to the campaign. does anyone know where we can all transfer video audio files with eachother? ill start fishing for pictures throughout the site preparing for the indegogo webpage

I agree. What people like is whales! And they tie in so well to Dana's quest. So whales are all good. And t-shirt designs. And promoting our good hounds t-shirts available here already. There are places like Cafe Press that do mugs and t-shirts to order with minimal work. www.cafepress.com/
If you are doing a web page and need link buttons or graphics send me a msg. I have a good button making utility.

This is NOT a forum for Hate Speech, Immature Games, or Politics (there are other forums for that, and it's NOT HERE! - Suspension will be Enforced>>> http://fukushimahounds.freeforums.net/thread/534/happens-new-hounds-snarl-respectful
starlight: Posting the links in the chat now you have made the thread is perhaps a mistake, I say this in all good faith and only because eventually the chat will be erased by new chat posts which, though slow, require space of their own. Best wishes for 2019!

millie: Hi, Starlight. No problem. I posted here because the thread is not visible to the outside world, just members apparently. I post in enough other places it's not a big deal. Thanks for the correction, and Happy New Year!

starlight: Are you experiencing difficulties building a thread? For certain things such as expanding pictures one has to log in but building a thread is still possible I’m sure. Don’t give up just yet!

starlight: Linking to YouTube here will result in slower page redraws over time on a thread as pages grow, so that’s frustrating! Linking to multiple vids in a single

starlight: post will result in slow page redraw, cumbersome. So don’t try to post Dana’s entire output retrospectively but stuff you have a comment on .... might be a good balance? It’s tricky! I have just one thread and go there to post my contribution over time.

millie: For #Fukushima's eighth anniversary (3/11), netc.com was taken down so we can't see the EPA radiation levels. Therefore we should conclude that everything is a-ok. Not.

starlight: The UK is in the midst of a huge Chernobyl fest, news articles a plenty, mini t.v series and such. Really quite odd!
