Gramma, is scoping for Cesium a pretty reliable way to locate other nuclides, since they travel together? In other words, would the probability that there would be other nuclides in food, water or dirt, be pretty low, if cesium didn't show up? Do you know?

I'm sure there's a Hound here though who could answer that.

Wow, what a great thread. Haven't read the entirety yet.
Here's a good way to make PH-balanced vitamin C:
1 tsp Vit C crystals 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
Put in a glass, then add a little water and wait for it to fizz down. Then add a little more water and enjoy! This is basically the same stuff you find in those Emergen-C packets, only lots cheaper.
One teaspoon equals ~4,000 mg. I believe the compound is called sodium ascorbate and the body will fully utilize all of it since it is neutral on the PH scale. This is also good for knitting the gums back onto the teeth; with the proper nutrition and supplements of course.
*WARNING* If you double up the dose, it will liquify your poop!
