watch here ***i am tickled to report an happy ending to this situation, christa has added an addendem to her report stating
"Addendum 6/25/14:
After this was posted, we had a few people writing in sharing other videos and blogs about the radioactivity issue so I thought it necessary to share more information so you can make informed, healthy decisions for yourself.
Exposure to radiation is very dangerous and a reality that all of us have to live with so please do take the time to watch this video by Dr. Stephen Hosea, an infectious disease specialist talking about radioactivity.
He is adamant that pacific tuna and sardines are not safe because now, three years after Fukushima, plants are still adding radioactivity into the atmosphere due to half life and the jet stream."
she then added the following comment
"Hi Sayonara Kitty - Thanks for sharing that video and your passion and information. See the addendum we added to the blog above so that people can learn from Dr. Hosea's work."
i am thrilled she took the time to do a little research, although i wish she would have up dated at the beginning of the article. ...(i wonder if it was the fact that i would never quit "hounding" her or the little email to the head of the association of clinical endocrinologists threatening to expose them for supporting false science that was the motivating factor... woof woof!!)
link to this above...
help, last month i was watching a local news show and this "nutritionist" quoted the following on air...
"A typical restaurant-sized portion of Pacific blue fin tuna (200 grams, or 7 ounces) contains about 5% of the radiation you would get from eating one uncontaminated banana and absorbing it’s naturally occurring radiation. All foods on the planet contain radiation. Like every other toxin, it’s the dose of radiation (rather than its simple presence) that determines whether it’s toxic to humans.
Finally, according to Dr. Robert Emery at at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston says you’d need to eat 2.5 to 4 tons of tuna in a year to get a dose of cesium-137 that exceeds health limits. That’s 14 to 22 pounds of tuna a day. “
after picking my jaw off the ground, i made a civil comment telling her the wrongs in her statement, a couple of weeks later, i researched her link to the dr.s statement and the original link that directed to the quote. the quote was never actually stated but may have been in a study that i couldnt access that was on the page.
i then commented again saying one could not access the quote, that reporting false science was a criminal act, that she should research this issue deeper and that the association of endrocrinologists called radiation the main cause of thyroid cancer, (she gives seminars on thyroid cancer and apparently doesnt know this). anyway,
checking today, my comments have been deleted and i cannot access the site to comment further.
ps she quotes the banana argument. ;p
here is her site... if anyone cares to school her.
WOW, going to get her site, it doesnt show up in my address bar, you gotta search
christa orecchio radiation the whole journey
thanks
